Clouds Without Water Seminar

My seminar, Clouds Without Water, is taken from a reference in the book of Jude 12 to false teachers. Specifically, Clouds Without Water is a biblical critique of the Word-Faith/New Apostolic Reformation/Prosperity gospel. The prosperity gospel essentially holds that it is always God’s will for a Christian to be wealthy and always God’s will for a Christian to be physically healed. If we struggle financially or get sick, then prosperity and physical healing are guaranteed provided that we have enough faith or sow a seed (give money) to a preacher in order to reap a harvest.

Prosperity theology dominates what we see on “Christian” television such as TBN, Daystar, The Word Network and others. Word-Faith/NAR theology, however, is not just an emphasis on health and wealth. It is actually rooted in the metaphysical cults and has a very heretical view of God, Christ, the Atonement, and it deifies man. Clouds Without Water incorporates dozens of video clips of prominent prosperity preachers such as Benny Hinn, Joseph Prince, Creflo Dollar, Bill Johnson, Andrew Wommack, Joyce Meyer, Todd White and Joel Osteen, and so you will see for yourself what they actually teach. The error is then corrected point by point from scripture.

This movement, tragically, is the face of Christianity around the world and it is leading untold millions of people into a different gospel – and a different gospel does not save. It is not only my desire to expose the error but also to equip the saints to “speak the truth in love” (Ephesians 4:15) with the aim of rescuing people out of this dangerous deception.

About GBC...

Grace is central because it is by God's grace that we're even here. He has seen fit to assemble this body of believers to exalt His son, Jesus Christ — the One whose death and resurrection gives us peace with God and the hope of heaven. You'll find that His grace is the common thread that runs through every ministry and expression of worship here.

Bible is likewise significant. It speaks of our whole hearted commitment to God's Word in everything we teach and do. We teach that the Bible is God’s written revelation to man, given to us by the Holy Spirit and constitutes the plenary inspired Word of God (1 Corinthians 2:7-14; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

Church, however, is paramount because of its absolute uniqueness. While "Grace" and "Bible" were our choice in defining who we are, "Church" was mandated by God — as revealed in His Word. It is His designation for the assembly of people called by His name. As such, our course has been charted by God; our destiny has been planned by God; our members have been chosen by God; our purposes have been defined by God.

It suggests both genuine fellowship within our church family and an open door to those around us. As members of one body, we seek to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:3). As a light in our community, we're a place of peace for those in chaos, a place of forgiveness for the guilty, and a place of hope for the hopeless.

We trust you'll discover God's grace among us. Our prayer is that we'll live up to His name.

Graceful Truth Radio Ministry

It is our prayer here at Graceful Truth Radio that God will reveal His grace to you through the teaching of His Word. As Christians, we love what God loves, and God loves His church as well as the lost. As we become more like Christ, this causes us to grow in our love for our fellow believers and in return for those who are still outside of Christ.
It is our hope and prayer here at Grace Bible Church Redwood City that the Graceful Truth Radio ministry impacts our community with the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ through the teaching of His Word. His grace results in us growing in our relationship with Him and reaching out to the lost, presenting the gospel, and seeing God save those who put their trust in Him.
2 Corinthians 4:15 says, “as grace extends to more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.”
So, as we teach God’s Word, the more God’s grace extends to our community. And the more His grace extends, the more He is glorified.

Our Beliefs

At Grace Bible Church, we believe in the inerrancy and sufficiency of Scripture, the Trinity, salvation by grace through faith, and more.

What We Believe...
We believe the Bible is God's written revelation to mankind. By faith, we believe that the Bible is the fully inspired Word of God, without error in the original manuscripts, in whole or in part. We believe that the 66 books that comprise the Old and New Testaments were written under the inspiration of God the Holy Spirit in such a way that the individual personalities of the human authors were preserved. With a high view of the Word of God, we believe that the Bible constitutes the only infallible rule of faith and practice, and therefore is our supreme authority.

We believe that there is but one living and true God, who is the creator of all things and sovereign judge over all creatures. We believe that God is infinite, all-knowing, and perfect in all His attributes; one in essence, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Equal in every divine perfection as one, yet revealed in distinct and harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence, and redemption.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His true humanity, in His virgin conception, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His substitutionary suffering and death for the punishment of the sins of those who trust in Him, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory yet to come. We believe that Jesus Christ will return to receive the church universal, which is His Bride, unto Himself at the rapture and that He will, returning with His church in glory at the end of the seven-year tribulation period, establish His millennial kingdom on earth. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the one through whom God will judge all mankind. As the mediator between God and man, the only God-man, is the final judge of all who fail to place their trust in Him as Lord and Savior.

We believe that all men are sinners by nature and by choice and are, therefore, under condemnation. We believe that those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are saved from the penalty of sin, born again unto eternal life by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit, and brought into personal fellowship with God. We believe that salvation is wholly of God by grace alone and received by faith alone in Christ alone—in the merit of Jesus Christ and not on the basis of human merit or works. We believe that all the redeemed once saved are kept by God's power and are thus secure in Christ forever.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the redeemed and the unrepentant; the redeemed unto the resurrection of eternal life and the unrepentant unto the resurrection of damnation and eternal punishment.
We believe that all who put their faith in Jesus Christ are immediately placed by the Holy Spirit into one united spiritual body, the church, of which Christ is the head. We believe that the formation of the church began on the day of Pentecost and is charged with the commission to worship God, to serve, edify, and equip His saints—the church, and to be a holy and loving witness to the world, including the responsibility to proclaim the Gospel to every living soul for the promotion of repentance and faith, personal joy and peace, devotion and growth, and love and praise to our Lord Jesus Christ!
